It’s the most wonderful time of the year! That is, it’s planning season for the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. The Festival Marketplace menus were announced yesterday, and we want to take a look at what’s new, what’s returning, and what’s off the menu for 2014. We’ll also share our opinions, because such things surely must matter.

The day after this year’s International Food & Wine Festival ended at Epcot, we noticed some new signage up at Promenade Refreshments. The menu, which boasted some seasonal offerings, piqued our interest. A manager and a handful of cast members happened to be carting supplies inside while we were passing, so we stopped to ask when the kiosk would be opening. We were told that some items would be served as early as the next day, while others, like the cider, would be ready by that weekend. We made a note to stop by again before we left town, and the day before flying home, we returned to view the crooked Christmas tree and try some goodies.
There’s a lot of discussion in the Disney Parks fan community, especially from the hobby photographers among us, about which areas of the parks are the most photogenic. I had always overlooked the China pavilion in such conversations, but on our most recent visit to Epcot, I found that I kept returning to the area, camera in hand. Below are some of my favorite photos from China.
What is your favorite Epcot pavilion? What areas of the Disney Parks do you think are the most photogenic?
We just got home from our longest vacation to Walt Disney World yet, and the luxury of time gave us the opportunity to take a look at some of the smaller show pieces that might be overlooked by more rushed Disney tourists. For instance, I could get lost in some of the vignettes you can find in the World Showcase pavilions in EPCOT, like the one below in the France pavilion.
It’s no secret that EPCOT is our favorite park in Florida, and we spent well over half of our park time there on this 14-night visit. Stay tuned for our recaps of the 2013 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and more!
Today in our look back at the 2012 Food & Wine Festival, I’m visiting the other two booths featuring US States. In the past, these booths have changed from year to year, but both Florida Local and Hawaii will be returning for the 2013 Festival, the latter for its third straight year.
We’re still counting down to opening day of the 2013 International Food & Wine Festival at Epcot! This Friday, the Festival Marketplace will officially open and the food photos and reviews will start rolling in. Until then, we’re continuing our look back at last year’s Festival. Today we’re stopping by the booths at the American Adventure pavilion: Hops & Barley and the Fife & Drum Tavern.
The France marketplace booth is another that will see some changes for Epcot’s 2013 International Food & Wine Festival. My favorite for the last two years, the coq au vin, may be off the menu. A new boeuf bourguignon dish has been announced as its replacement. I’ll always have the memories (and the pictures).
We’re really excited to start planning for this year’s Food & Wine Festival, and the Festival Marketplace is always our favorite part of the event. We’re amped for this first look at the full menus. Below are the menus for each of the Festival Marketplace booths, along with some commentary and pictures from us.
